About this category
This award recognises a trainee or student accountant on the Isle of Man studying towards a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA or AAT, whose exam results and contribution at work stand out. Judges look for results, balance and commitment.
Eligibility
Open to trainees and students working on the Isle of Man and studying for a recognised accountancy or tax qualification.

Additional criteria
Entries should include a concise case study, supporting figures such as growth, efficiency, client retention, exam results or audit outcomes, and, where possible, comments from clients, managers or colleagues. Client names and confidential figures can be left out or given as ranges, and nothing in an entry is shared beyond the judging panel. Entrants must live or work on the Isle of Man, or work for an organisation with a substantial presence on the island. Judges consider the size of every firm and team, so a sole practitioner competes on equal terms with a large practice.
